Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

OVERHYPED.WTF ("we", "us", "our") collects minimal data necessary to operate the Platform. The types of information we collect depend on whether you are a project owner ("Operator") or an end user ("Participant").

For Operators: We collect your wallet address used to authenticate with Mission Control, project configuration data, and optional contact information such as an email address if you choose to provide one.

For Participants: We collect your public wallet address (used for authentication via cryptographic signature), your on-chain data (SOL balance, token holdings, NFT ownership, wallet age, and transaction history as publicly available on the Solana blockchain), your activity within the widget (actions completed, points earned, referrals made, wheel spins, streak data), and basic device information (browser type, screen size) for rendering purposes.

We do not collect passwords, email addresses, real names, physical addresses, or any other personally identifiable information from Participants unless explicitly provided by the Participant or required by an Operator's specific project configuration.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features; (b) authenticate users via wallet signatures; (c) calculate and display leaderboard rankings, HYPED point balances, streak data, and tier placements; (d) verify on-chain conditions for actions (e.g., confirming a minimum SOL balance or NFT ownership); (e) generate aggregate analytics for Operators (e.g., total users, referral rates, engagement metrics); (f) prevent fraud, sybil attacks, and abuse of the Platform; and (g) improve and develop new features for the Platform.

3. Wallet Data and Blockchain Information

By connecting your wallet to the Platform, you acknowledge that your wallet address and all associated on-chain activity are inherently public on the Solana blockchain. This data is accessible to anyone with a blockchain explorer and is not considered private information.

The Platform reads on-chain data to verify actions, calculate eligibility for certain features, and enhance your engagement profile. We do not write transactions to the blockchain on your behalf unless you explicitly sign and approve such transactions through your wallet provider.

We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or the ability to move funds from your wallet.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Period.

We may share data in the following limited circumstances: (a) with Operators, who can view Participant wallet addresses, point balances, and engagement data for their specific project; (b) with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, CDN) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements; (c) when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; and (d) in aggregate, anonymized form for analytics or research purposes.

Operators who export Participant data (e.g., for airdrop distribution) are responsible for handling that data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

The Platform uses minimal cookies and browser local storage strictly for session management and functional purposes. Specifically, we use: (a) session tokens to maintain your authenticated state after wallet connection; (b) local storage to cache widget state and preferences for faster loading; and (c) essential cookies required for the Platform to function correctly.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain Participant engagement data (points, rankings, activity history) for as long as the associated Operator project is active on the Platform. When an Operator deletes their project, all associated Participant data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Operator account data is retained for as long as the account is active. After account termination, we retain basic account records for up to 12 months for legal and accounting purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.

Aggregate, anonymized data that cannot be linked to any individual may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the data we process, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Wallet-based authentication eliminates many common attack vectors associated with password-based systems, as we never store or transmit sensitive credentials.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data: (a) the right to access the data we hold about you; (b) the right to request correction of inaccurate data; (c) the right to request deletion of your data; (d) the right to data portability; and (e) the right to object to or restrict processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at team@overhyped.wtf with your wallet address so we can locate your records. We will respond to valid requests within 30 days.

Please note that because wallet addresses and on-chain activity are publicly available on the blockchain, we cannot delete data that exists on the Solana network itself. Our deletion processes apply only to data stored on our own servers.

9. Children

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will promptly delete that data. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us at team@overhyped.wtf.

10. International Data Transfers

The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via the email address associated with your Operator account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
